CLNM update - Jan 2023

Over the last six months CLNM have continued to work closely with NHP to develop the approach, improve the offer and support the charity’s growth. These activities have also enabled young people to have experiences they would not have otherwise had and enabled them to grow both personally and professionally. Here is a summary of some of their work.
Aspirational Awards Update Jan 2023

The second window of the Aspirational Awards has recently closed and following a very busy panel, decisions were made to make awards to 16 young people across the House Project community. This brings the total of young people supported across both windows to 27 with a total award fund of £51,287

Since my last blog in July, CLNM have hosted their Annual Conference in October and with a focus of Celebrating Success this event undoubtedly delivered on this agenda. Designed and hosted by young people it was an event that demonstrated that with the right support care leavers can achieve and are incredible.

Scotland House Project Success
In a landmark event to mark the 10th anniversary of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, Who Cares? Scotland hosted its first ever Corporate Parenting Awards, celebrating achievements of organisations dedicated to supporting Care Experienced young people. The event in Glasgow recognised outstanding contributions across several categories, with East Dunbartonshire and Midlothian House Projects winning awards in three areas.
