Midlothian House Project - an example of practical homelessness prevention in Scotland

The Midlothian House Project is listed in the 'Practical Prevention Examples' as part of Crisis Scotland's '75 ways to reduce homelessness' report - a compendium of examples from services, projects and approaches in Scotland and beyond already working in the spirit and intention of new proposals to reduce homelessness.

The West Sussex approach puts the child first. They work with children, families, communities, our partners and schools in a restorative, strength-based way. Strong relationships are at the heart of what we do.
Valpak becomes Coventry House Project partner
15th June 2022
Valpak is supporting 16 and 17-year-old care leavers with work advice and donations to help them get started. The Coventry House Project, which launched in 2021, is one of 16 projects across England and Scotland that make up the wider National House Project. The national scheme is working with 380 young people and has helped 240 young people make the transition to living in wider society.
