A message from our CEO July 2023

When NHP was incorporated as a charity 5 years ago next month we were a merry band of three who had just moved out of our respective kitchens (that were doubling as offices!) with budget for a further 18 months. Next month we celebrate our 5th birthday and we marked the occasion at a party last week at Freight Island in Manchester. It was a fantastic event in the glorious Mancunian sunshine and was enjoyed by 200 young people, staff, consultants, partners and fundraisers from across the UK.

Fundraising Update July 2023

NHP is thrilled to have received two grants to support the work of the charity. The Nationwide Foundation and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation have provided generous support to NHP recognising the organisation's ambition to support young people leaving care to live connected and fulfilling lives. The Nationwide Building Society, renowned for its commitment to everyone in the UK having access to a decent home they can afford, has awarded NHP £46,100 over 2 years towards a Young People's Participation and Development Worker.

We celebrated our 5-year anniversary as a charitable organisation working closely with local authorities and supporting care leavers across the country. The celebrations took place at Freight Island in Manchester, enjoyed by 200 young people, staff, consultants, partners and fundraisers from across the UK; who came together to reflect upon the great work from young people and staff that have made and continue to make NHP such a success. Celebrating Eoin Stein’s Incredible Marathon Fundraising for NHP
Earlier this year, Eoin Stein took on the incredible challenge of running the Chester Marathon, and in doing so, raised over £1,000 for the National House Project (NHP)! We were absolutely thrilled when his employer, Toyota, generously match-funded his efforts with an additional £1,000, bringing the total raised to £2,000.
